Gantimpala Theater Foundation's El Filibusterismo...The Drama Continues

GANTIMPALA: Soxie Topacio's "EL FILI" All Star
Theater Actor Cast

"GANTIMPALA THEATER FOUNDATION'S EL FILIBUSTERISMO… THE
DRAMA CONTINUES!"

Gantimpala Theater Foundation (GTF), in
cooperation with the National Parks
Development Committee (NPDC) presents, EL
FILIBUSTERISMO, a dramatization of Jose Rizal's
second installment to his first novel the Noli
MeTangere, which is described as a dark and
malevolent tale.

Thirteen years after the disappearance of
Crisostomo Ibarra after being condemned by the
Spanish officials as a filibuster (traitor to the
Spanish government), he returns to his homeland
as Don Simoun, the rich jeweler who uses his
riches and excesses as a weapon to mingle with
the Spanish officials and know more about their
best-kept secrets and abuses to the Filipino
people.

The Actors Company all star cast theater

In addition, Simoun plans a revolution to end the
violence and corruption brought about by the
Spanish Government to its people.

Gantimpala Theater Foundation immortalizes the novel
into a theatrical masterpiece intended for high school
students taking up the subject as it helps the students
understand the lessons of this soul-stirring sequel
by national hero Dr.Jose Rizal.

Truly, a masterful work of Filipino prowess and
ingenuity, El Filibusterismo is the third production
line-up in Gantimpala Theater Foundation's 29th theater season.

Bringing back life to Don Simoun's impossible
mission are Soxie Topacio (director); Roobak Valle
(Productions Designer); Andy Villareal (lights
designer); Norman Peñaflorida (production
manager); Maricel Ticar-Santos (stage manager);
and Tony S. Espejo (GTF Artistic Director).

Theater Foundation's El Filibusterismo.

The National Parks Development Committee and
Gantimpala Theater Foundation are
partners in promoting Philippine arts and culture.
As Luneta Park's resident theater-company,
Gantimpala Theater Foundation plays and other
special cultural events are shown free during
Concert at the Park, a weekly arts and culture
show produced by National Parks
Development Committee, which aims to propagate
and bring arts to the masses.
