Human Rights Gig and Dong Abay Video Launch

On December 8, the Artists for the
Removal of Gloria (Arrest Gloria) will
be holding a cultural event at the
Freedom Bar, Anonas, Quezon City to
commemorate the International
Declaration of Human Rights.
Dubbed "Arrest the Killings! Isang
gabi ng sining at musika para sa
pagtatanggol sa Karapatang Pantao" ("A
night of art and music for the defense
of human rights"),

It will be a venue to raise awareness
on the fundamental issues on human
rights through music, literature,
visual arts, and other media. It will
be a night for artists to exercise
their right to freedom of _expression,
one of the many basic human rights
that the ruling Arroyo administration
has trampled on. , The event will be
cosponsored by the human rights group
KARAPATAN Southern Tagalog.

One of the highlights of the event is
the premiere of Dongabay's music
video "WWIII" produced by Arrest
Gloria and Southern Tagalog Exposure.
There will also be testimonies of some
victims and families of victims of
human rights violations.
