Exhibits come and go and so do art careers. Who's to say that something or someone is hot (other than Paris) is merely corollary to heralding the new black. As if boho chic is the adage anyone can live by. What remains is tradition that's hardly academic depending upon where it has taken root. And so after several years, artists who have worked and hung out at the seminal artist-run space Surrounded By Water have all gathered once again for the traditional year-ender exhibit Dog Show to commemorate and celebrate life, diversity, innovation, good cheer, guts, equal opportunity for all - reasons that fortunately won't be outmoded anytime.
