Philwomenian Artists in Concert at the Park's Kumukutikutitap

Concert at the Park - Kumukutikutitap

Ushering in the ‘merry season’ in Concert at the Park this Sunday, December 3, 2006, starting at 5:00 in the afternoon, is a group of talented musicians and singers from the Philippine Women’s University School of Music, under the music direction of Dean Harold Galang, in a program aptly titled, “Kumukutikutitap”. Featured Philwomenian artists are the PWU Chorus Class, under the music direction of Dean Harold Galang, the PWU Guitar Quartet, composed of guitarists Allen Lucas, Eugene Apa, Reggie Matira and Ryan Pagtakhan, bass baritone Graenald Enero, sopranos Ma. Elizabeth Ancheta, Athelstine Mayor and Alvin Selfa, pianists Clarijane Belliones and Richelle Rivera and violinist Crisanti Macazo. Venue is the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium, Rizal Park, Manila. Ms. Minette Padilla is program host.

Concert at the Park is a regular weekly program of the National Parks Development Committee, under Executive Director Carlito A. Fajardo. Mr. Federico A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the concert project. Mrs. Gie V. Arnold writes the script. The presentation on Sunday is in cooperation with the Philippine Women’s University School of Music.

“Kumukutikutitap” is composed of the following programme: GOD AND GOD ALONE (Arr: Tom Fettke) and LIKE CHRISTMAS ALL YEAR ‘ROUND (Dennis Jernigan) – PWU Chorus Class, Dean Harold Galang, conducting; QUARTET IN D MAJOR (Telemann) and SPRING (Vivaldi) – PWU Guitar Quartet; OLD MAN RIVER from “Show Boat” (Jerome Kern) – Graenald Enero, bass baritone; SE ENCASO MADAMA TE CHIAMA from “Le Nozze di Figaro” (Mozart) – Athelstine Mayor, soprano and Graenald Enero, bass baritone; GAMU-GAMO (Sacramento) – Alvin Selfa, soprano; SONATA IN D MAJOR K 576 (Mozart) – Clarijane Belliones, pianist; O HOLY NIGHT (Adam) and GESU BAMBINO (Yon) – Ma. Elizabeth Ancheta, soprano and Dean Harold Galang, pianist; PAYAPANG DAIGDIG (National Artist Felipe de Leon) and PASKO NA SINTA KO (Francis Dandan) – Crisanti Macazo, violinist and Rachelle Rivera, pianist; and ERES TU (Arr: Delgado), FOR THE LONGEST DAY (Arr: Delgado), GO THE DISTANCE (Arr: Pamintuan), WHAT CHILD IS THIS (Arr: Delgado), CAROL OF THE BELLS (Arr: Wilhousky) and KUMUKUTIKUTITAP (Cayabyab) – PWU Chorale with Elietess Mayor-Carino, conducting.
