"Ulinig" and "Manibalang" by Joy Mallari is now on view at the Pinto Art Gallery. These exhibits will run until December 15, 2006.
LA-based visual artist and painter Joy Mallari returns to the Philippines after a series of successful international exhibitions the last 10 years. For her homecoming solo show, the artist features two simultaneous painting exhibitions highlighting her artistic concerns of the last decade, as well as introducing her latest ouvre on the subject of identity and intervention.
"Ulinig" is a series of paintings attempting to combine the visual language of painting and film. "Manibalang," on the other hand, reflects Joy Mallari's observation of the Filipino Diaspora.
Pinto Art Gallery is located @ 1 Sierra Madre St, Grandheights Subd, Antipolo City.
