Filipinos speak many languages, yet they are most eloquent in communicating through rhythms and movements. KALOOB believes that music and dance are among the most profound expressions that have been given to Filipinos. They are repositories of the people’s soul that record their unwritten dreams and unspoken realities. In such intangible heritages can histories be found, and where tides of culture flow.
This year’s program will highlight some of KALOOB’s best selections of indigenous traditions culled from more than a decade of research - from the Ifugao, Maranao, Tagbanua, etc. It will also feature presentations from the group’s most recent research missions in Mindanao, with dances from the B’laan (North Cotabato), Obo Manobo (Davao and Cotabato), Tigwahanon (Davao), and Western Subanun (Zamboanga).
Ticket prices are at P400, P250 and P100. Discounts available.
Tickets may be purchased at the Folk Arts Theater and at all Ticketworld Outlets.
