MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Educational Theater Association's (PETA) 'Care Divas' remains a popular contender among the must-see plays of the year. The comedy musical penned by Palanca award-winning playwright Liza Magtoto was set to have a limited thirty-six-show run from February-March 2011. However word-of-mouth spread like wildfire and requests for more shows flooded.
Since then, one additional show led to another and barely nine months since it opened, 'Care Divas' has had sixty-nine shows - more than double the number of the play's scheduled performances!
As a Christmas treat to the fans of the musical, and as a tribute to all OFW's coming home this Christmas, PETA is producing additional fourteen performances of 'Care Divas' this December.
Fans and first time viewers will be treated to a limited engagement - a night of music, laughter and explosive production numbers that will transport them to a remote Israeli Tel Aviv club, where daytime gay caregivers transform into fabulous divas at night!
