The UP Film Institute is hosting a film talk with visiting French filmmaker Vincent Moon this Monday, 12 March 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Videotheque of the UPFI Film Center in UP Diliman.
An independent filmmaker from Paris, Vincent Moon has done experimental films and documentaries and is most renowned for his field work music videos of indie-rock musicians and a slew of notable mainstream artists. “La Faute des Fleurs,” his 2009 film about Japanese singer Kazuki Tomokawa, won for him the Sound and Vision Award at the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival. For years now, he has been on the road experimenting on nomadic cinema, traveling to film rare musicians around the world and trying to redefine the limits of cinema in the 21st century.
Admission to the film talk is free.
