MaARTe 2011 is an exhibition and sale of some of the finest artisanal works in the country. On its second year, the event will showcase contemporary and antique jewelry, decorative and functional pottery, clay sculptures, glass and metal works, fashion accessories, and home accents, all crafted locally from indigenous materials.

MaARTe 2011 is organized by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines to raise funds for programs that benefit art and culture in general and the National Museum in particular.

Happening alongside MaARTe 2011 is Silverlens Gallery's ART FLOOD 2011. ART FLOOD is a 3-day art sale where galleries and collectors sell modern and contemporary artworks. 

On its third year, ART FLOOD benefits Sagip Buhay Medical Foundation Lupus Fund for the patients of the Philippine General Hospital.

MaARTe and ART FLOOD will run from October 21 to 23 at the SLab – Silverlens Gallery, 2/F YMC Building, 2320 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City. From Friday to Saturday, sale hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

So spend an exciting few hours this weekend at the SLab – Silverlens Gallery and see our evolving heritage: arts and crafts produced in time-honored traditions and contemporary pieces inspired by them!
