This workshop is designed for young digital-camera users who want to learn the basics of photography, covering both the aesthetic and technical aspects. The workshop—which features a lecture, actual photo shoots, and a photo clinic—discusses topics such as:
·Basic understanding of light
·The digital camera (types, components, and settings)
·Composition, perspective, and elements of design
·How to see and take better pictures
·Overview of the digital workflow
·PLUS: Various shooting applications

Jay Alonzo has taken advantage of modern technology for his craft from the time he got his first digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 995, in 2001. Now an Olympus camera user (E510, E3, and EPL), he has taken photographs published in magazines such as High Life and Mabuhay (Philippine Airline's in-flight magazine).
Participation fee and discount
P3,500 inclusive of handouts, meals, and a certificate. Cash or check payments are accepted at the library or through a BPI bank deposit. Payment through BPI EPS and major credit cards is also accepted.
Due to the limited number of available slots, interested participants are requested to register on or before October 19 by paying at least P1,500 (nonrefundable; full payment is due on the first day of class).* An early bird discount of 5 percent will be given to those who pay in full on or before the deadline (except for credit card payments).
* Payment is transferable to another class if a written notice is given at least five days prior the start of the workshop. Otherwise, a P750 no-show penalty will be deducted.
