At the end of the class you will have completed your own audio visual presentation using your own photos burned on a DVD. The class covers basic photo editing, recording a sound track to introduce your presentation, timing your presentation to music, creating a DVD menu and a disc label.

When my Dad was joining the work force back in the 50s they had to learn to use the typewriter. In my generation, people had to learn to use the word processor and then spreadsheets and then powerpoint. Now, with the popularity of YouTube and the number of digital capture devices in our hands the "must-learn" is video production.
Video production is not rocket science. With the tools available in the market today just about anyone can make video. It was difficult and expensive but not anymore - with the RIGHT equipment, software, and some guidance. Word of caution though....like any art form, learning how to paint a masterpiece doesn't happen overnight. And although paint and paintbrushes are available everywhere not everyone is a Picasso. Ultimately, video production is a craft. There is a technical side and an artistic side. DIY AVP is a place where you can learn this craft.
I have been producing AVPs since 2003. It's a very gratifying job. I forget the time... I lose myself... And that's not the best part. The best part is, when I hit the nail on the head and people laugh and cry when they watch my presentation. I could've gone on doing this but I know people would be better at telling their own stories. In DIY AVP we want to help you tell your story. It's really fun!
Of course if you have neither time nor inclination we can always do it for you. But don't say we are having all the fun... so see you in the studio some time!
