Multi-awarded painter Rosscapili will unveil his recent abstract paintings on canvas entitled Painted Words at Crucible Gallery on March 6, 2012.

Fifteen abstract works bear his signature wet-on-wet drip technique with multiple layers of acrylic pigment, his favorite medium. This will be the painter's third time to mount solo shows at the Crucible Gallery, preceded by his Green Fire exhibit in 1996.

To date he has mounted more than 30 solo exhibitions. A Juror's Choice in the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards 1994, the artist -- in what he considers to be his show on painted words -- will explore his interpretation of various utterance, quotes, lyrics and verses.

Rosscapili's works have been collected widely by corporate and private entities both in the Philippines and abroad, and have been exhibited in Paris, New York, San Francisco, Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Mongolia, Seoul Korea, and recently in Singapore.

MangRobang and Philipp Ines

fourth level of SM Megamall.

Josue Mangrobang has developed a distinctive style as a painter, producing canvases filled with "double images": detailed compositions rendered through transparencies, layerings, and interplays of positive and negative space. Mangrobang's works combine naturalism and stylization, the conceptual and the pictorial. His subjects and themes often revolve community and fishing scenes which comprise his environment as a resident of the flood-prone and coastal city of Malabon.

A multi-awarded painter, Mangrobang is a national finalist in the 2008 Philip Morris Philippines Art Awards. He was also cited as a finalist in the water media category of the 2002 Metrobank Young Painter Competition and the 2000 and 1999 Shell National Students Art Competition.

Mangrobang holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (major in Painting) from the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts in Diliman. He is currently pursuing a double degree, major in Art History from the same institution.

Philipp Ines is currently exploring a transitional style combining realism with the visual culture of mainstream media and art production: where stylized motifs derived from technology, special effects, and machines merge scenes from the local and the historical.

Since the start of 2008, Ines has produced a series of paintings simulating and integrating the vivid visual effects of neon laser lights used in the mainstream media and advertising industry. Ines juxtaposes these effects against a backdrop of monochromatic vignettes from the artist's studio or the streets, fusing nostalgia and novelty into a single work

Ines studied Painting at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts in Diliman, Quezon City. He is a finalist at the 1999 Shell National Student Art competition. Ines has been working as an art director at a major TV network since 2003.

Cinemalaya's most daring (not to mention controversial) exhibition film holds an additional screening on July 28, Saturday, 10 a.m. at the CCP Silangan Hall. Haw-Ang's much-awaited world premiere is set two days earlier, on July 26, Thursday, 6 p.m. at Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino.

The only recent film endorsed by the Department of Education (DepEd)-NCR, Haw-Ang tells the story of Sister Adel—a nun who goes to the isolated village called Malinggop to teach the tribe's children. Amidst the magnificent beauty of the rice terraces, Sister Adel comes to face the biggest test of her faith… and femininity. Haw-Ang is directed by Bong Ramos and stars Kalila Aguilos, Neil Ryan Sese, Fonz Deza, and PBB's Teacher Raquel. The film introduces the exceptional talent of eight-year-old Dacmay Tangliban from the Tuwali tribe in Hapao, Hungduan.

Artist- Director – Visionary – the award winning New York City artist founded the U.S.A design house Art Asylum in 1996. Fighting for artistic credit in an industry where all talent operated in virtual anonymity. Forever changing the system as we know it, today artists across America now receive credit for their work thanks to his tenacity and passion.

In 2001 and 2002, Digger was ranked in Cinescape magazine's "Power 100" of
the most influential personalities on science fiction and entertainment
alongside the likes of George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, James Cameron and Steven King.

After years of working creatively with the lukes of Marvel Entertainment,
Lucas Film, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Clive Barker, Kevin Eastman,
Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Rob Zombie, and a slew of other world renowned
entities Art Asylum was sold to diamond Select Toys in 2007. Digger's
new brain child Dig Deep Entertainment was formed this year in Hong
Kong,

As known for his persona as his art, Digger has acted in a host of films including Ultraviolet, The Counting House, The Twins Effect, Heat Team, as well as voice acting for X-men/Dark Tide other animation and film.

Yuri Timg

Born in Peru and raised in New York City, Yuri was educated at the "FAME"
high school and The School of Visual Arts. Honing his skills as a
master illustrator and comic artist he worked freelance for 10 years on
a multitude of commercial projects.

In 2004, he moved to Asia and was hired by Art Asylum Hong Kong. Here he contributed his great talents on designs for Minimates, Lord of the Rings, Marvel Comics, Star Trek, Batman, Clive Barkers Jump Tribe, and more.

Yuri now has joined forces with Dig Deep Entertainment. His fierce artistic
passion dedicated to Dig Deep's new intellectual properties for film,
television and elite products. He is currently working on storyboarding
and production design for the upcoming UK/HK action film A New
Beginning as well as great many super limited Asia exclusive Marvel
Comics statue lines!

Yuri Timg is a dedicated Martial Artist as well and studies Wing Chun and Arnis religiously alongside his commercial art achievements.

Walter A. McDaniel

This hyper creative talent was born in the St. Thomas Virgin Islands and
grew up on the mean streets of New York Cities West Harlem. Striving
throughout his entire childhood to make his mark one day in the art
world.

His rise to notoriety in the comic world began right out of the gate following his education at the School of Virtual Arts. Sought after by all the comic giants, Walter went on to work with Marvel, DC, and Image Comics as well as his own independent projects.

His list of title accomplishments include Spiderman, Wolverine, X-men, Deadpool, Batman, Shadowhawk and the Pact just to name a few! He currently holds the license for Mortal Combat comics as well as his own intellectual property Kodai Djinns for film television, video games and product.

In addition to comics, he's founding father of WAM entertainment. A
company dedicated to riginal content and servicing toy industry. His
international team has contributed to Hot Wheels, GI JOE, Star Wars, and Transformers.

Walter McDaniel is now based in Hong Kong and is putting the final touches on his ground breaking entertainment property

This year’s 7th anniversary theatrical spectacle will be the biggest gathering of Koiné Scholars and celebrities ever! Palanca-Award winning writer and composer, Niel de Mesa’s Invenio.

The futuristic story revolves around the bleak fate of underprivileged children who were separated from their parents and resettled in Railroad-121. The local government have developed a comprehensive system to eradicate poverty by installing each citizen with a net-worth chip able to determine any individual’s liquid assets. Since, money is wire-transferred from person to person through mundane business transactions - in this economy driven country - anyone whose net-worth falls to zero will self-destruct. Seven combat-trained children, from the phalanx of poor kids detained in Railroad 121, will attempt to rescue their parents and elders who, they figured, will inevitably become test subjects of this new nerve chip.

The show, "Invenio," will feature showstoppers by Koiné Regular, Elite, and Mission Station scholars in Taguig, Tondo, West Triangle, and Bago Bantay (as well as the Koiné VFT Artists from the Koiné Nueva Ecija chapter). Guest celebrities like Aiza Seguerra, Karylle, and many more other celebrities are also set to join the performance.

Mindanaoan abstract surrealist Danny C. Sillada goes real in his forthcoming show titled : Text + Images, a suite of 53 autobiographical poems and drawings.

A former junior executive of Fortune Medicare, Inc. under the leadership J. Antonio A. Cabangon, Jr., Danny C. Sillada took a 360-degree detour from his vocation to the priesthood to the corporate and finally embraces his artistic calling in the art world.

Author and art historian Manny Duldulao hailed Danny C. Sillada as the foremost Filipino colorist in the country. His art, according to the UP professor and art critic Reuben Ramas Cañete, "is culled from manifold, eclectic sources, as diverse as his biographical experiences, and the polyglotality of the embedded culture of the Mindanaoan". Danny C. Sillada, as described in the research paper submitted to the University of Asia and the Pacific by Michael Marlowe Uy & Katrina Kalaw, is the embodiment of a Filipino who defies the existing trend. His multi-faceted attribute in the humanities, as a Filipino Renaissance man, is identical with those of well-rounded historical figures during the Renaissance period in Europe.

In 2003, Danny C. Sillada received two Pasidungog Centennial Awards in the fields of literary and visual arts in Davao Oriental, Philippines, and currently, one of the 13 featured artists of SAG (an on-line multimedia arts based in the USA) along with international artists such as musicians, literary writers and visual artists.

To date, Danny C. Sillada had already launched nine one-man shows, performed numerous live art performances, and organized a prestigious and historic multimedia art event known as the DC Sillada Convergence in 2006 at The Podium, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

The three artists reflect and reinterpret the structural destruction of today's society and its current concerns, picking up on the corrosive nature of kalawang. Their artworks narrate their perspective on the double-edged interpretation of rust: the deterioration of society through the senseless and apathetic existence of its citizens.

Celebrating his 79th birthday, Malang mounts a one-man exhibit. "Works on Paper" features more than 40 new works in gouache.

Malang has been celebrating his birthday with a major one-man exhibit in recent years. He uses gouache in his latest set of works, the medium he admits he is most comfortable using. The reason Malang has produced so many works over the years is that he always tries to paint every single day, sketching a few lines even before he eats breakfast or touching up a few details before he goes to bed. Practice is the key, though he also keeps it interesting by being open to new ideas and new painting techniques.

A self-taught painter, Malang began as a designer for the Manila Chronicle and its suplement, This Week magazine.
