Uncut English subtitled version of Kaleldo now showing

Unrated and uncut international version of Kaleldo only @ UP Film Institute

Q&A with Filmmakers after the last full show on Jan 10

Don’t fail to catch the UP Film Institute’s exclusive screening of the unrated and uncut international version of Kaleldo for New Year 2007. Hailed as one of the most significant Filipino films of the year, Kaleldo (Summer Heat) gets an initial full run at the premier state university cinema from Jan 4 Thu through Jan 6 Sat and then again from Jan 8 through Jan 10 Wed. Three screenings daily are set at 2, 5 and 7 p.m.

Directed by Brillante Mendoza and starring Cherry Pie Picache, Angel Aquino, Juliana Palermo and Johnny Delgado, Kaleldo is in main competition for Grand Prize Golden Alhambra at the forthcoming First Cines del Sur Film Festival in Grenada, Spain slated from June 9 to 17. It has previously toured international film capitals such as Rome, Vienna, Hawaii and Cairo.

The screening of Kaleldo’s internationally exhibited full integral version is a UP
Film Institute exclusive certainly not to be missed! A Q&A session open to the
public follows the last screening on Jan 10 Wed with director Brillante Mendoza,
some of the film’s crew and the principal cast led by Cherry Pie Picache.
