Celebration 2006 in Ballet at the Park

Taking center stage in Ballet at the Park this Saturday, November 18, 2006, starting at 5:00 p.m., are the young ballerinas of the Metropolis Ballet Center, Vella C. Damian School of Ballet, Main Studio and the VIBECA-Vella C. Damian Ballet and Dance Concert Company, under the artistic direction of Ms. Vella C. Damian, in a program aptly titled “Celebration 2006”. Admission is free.

“Celebration 2006” consists of the following dance suites: STATE FAIR (Music: Rodgers & Hammerstein/Choreography: Maricar Kison) featuring the Metropolis Ballet Center; GET DOWN GENEXT (Music: Kool & the Gang/Choreography: Arnie Umayam) featuring the Vella C. Damian School of Ballet-Main Studio; VERSATILE BEBOTS (Music: Black Eyed Peas/Choreography: Arnie Umayam) featuring Vella C. Damian School of Ballet; FUN IN DANCE (Music: Rodgers & Hammerstein/Choreography: Vella C. Damian) featuring Vella C. Damian School of Ballet-Main Studio; VARIACIONES (Music: Charles Gounod/Choreography: Maricar Kison) featuring Metropolis Ballet Center; CLASSICAL SUITE (Music: Glazunov, Helsted & Paulli/Choreography: Ma. Luisa Bugayong) featuring VIBECA and Vella C. Damian Ballet; ARRIVEZ AU POINTE (Music: Ludwig Minkus/Choreography: Vella C. Damian) featuring Vella C. Damian School of Ballet-Main Studio; MALE SOLO VARIATION FROM “Le Corsaire” (Music: Ricardo Drigo/Choreography: Konstantin Sergeyev) featuring Dance Concert Company with Andro Fredeluces, soloist; and SALUDO (Music: Philippine Marches/Choreography: Tony Fabella); featuring Dance Concert Company.
