ANG ATING BUHAY: A Documentary on Urban Aeta Community
An AVP/documentary film, in cooperation with the Center For People Empowerment and Governance, on an urban Aeta (Ati) community and how their culture has diminished due to the need to fit in the new environment and lack of heritage preservation.
The title of the documentary is "ANG ATING BUHAY," which means two things: 1 - literally, the Ati life, and 2 - Our life, referring to the Philippines, or any other nation experiencing cultural or lingual decline in pursuit of survival.
Preserve culture! Preserve language, for it is the means to meaning, of sharing symbols; therefore the means of establishing culture.
