FACINE CALLS FOR ENTRIES TO 15th ANNUAL CINEFEST
The filipino arts & cinema, international (FACINE) has announced its call for entries to the 15th annual filipino american cine festival. The festival will be held on October 31 and November 1 at the Koret Auditorium, San Francisco Main Library in San Francisco.
The festival is open to all media artists of Filipino ancestry. Any number of entries may be submitted, regardless of genre, subject or format. All entries however, shall have running time of 60 minutes or less. Nonetheless, non-Filipino filmmakers may submit works which subject is Filipino or Filipino American.
FACINE is a nonprofit media arts organization that aims to promote and develop Filipino American cinema. The festival, now on its 15th year, has been an important showcase of independent films and videos by Filipino American media artists, including Marlon E. Fuentes, Francisco Aliwalas and Matthew Abaya as well as by independent filmmakers from the Philippines, like Lav Diaz, Fruto Corre and Raymond Red.
All entries must be submitted either in VHS or DVD format to this address:
