Israel's Philharmonia Singers is inviting excellent Filipino choir singers to join them during their performances for a maximum of 10 months to one year. They are inviting 3 sopranos, 1 alto, 3 tenors and 3 basses.
The Philharmonia Singers will provide the participants with the following: Round trip international tickets from Manila to Tel Aviv and back; Accommodations; Basic food (regular meals); Transportation from the place of residence to the venue of rehearsals and performances; Tour of important places in Israel (one tour to the South and one tour to the North); and Per Diem of US$20.00/day.
Auditions will be held at the CCP Little Theater on January 5, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Accepted participants must be willing to depart for Israel by January.
The Philharmonia Singers Association was established in 1997, to meet the increasing demand in recent years for a professional, high-quality vocal group, and to fill the void created in the field of symphonic and chamber vocal music in Israel.
The choir can boast impressive successes in this enterprise. Philharmonia Singers have performed with the world's greatest conductors, such as: Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Kurt Masur, Antonio Pappano, the late Giuseppe Sinopoli and others. The choir also sang with the Israeli Opera, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Orchestra, among others. In its activities, the choir gives a special and valuable contribution to the artistic media in Israel and lessens the need for bringing choirs from overseas.
Its continuous professional activity granted the choir a unique national and cultural classification: "The New Israeli Choir".
For interested participants, please send resume with detailed choir experience to ccp.musicdivision@ yahoo.com. Good sight-reading ability is a necessity.
