On December 13, 2008, Saturday, SLab artist Bea Valdes will be giving a talk and holding an artist discussion afterwards. “As my pieces are made within the workshop setting, my creative experience is a shared process with the artisans that I work with," says Valdes. “I had wanted my talk to focus on the idea of craft in contemporary times, the collective intimacy of creation, and the discovering of Slow Design.”

Bea Valdes' sculpture show Bedtime Stories runs from November 28 to January 3, 2009 at SLab.
