The ARTISTS WELFARE FOUNDATION is inviting artists from all fields to attend its regular Membership Meeting on Saturday, 17 February, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., at the CCP Bulwagang Ama.do Hernandez, Upper Basement, Tanghalang Pambansa, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

The Artists Welfare Foundation is an organization currently in the process of incorporation as a non-stock, non-profit corporation whose primary purpose is to extend, provide, or grant financial, legal, medical and hostpitalization privileges or benefits and/or similar assistance, support and/or advice to Filipino artists who may be disabled or incapacitated by reason of age or physical or mental infirmity to earn, support or maintein his subsitence, health or basic life need.

Interim officers of the foundation are Grace Nono Aves (Chair), Ronnie Lazaro (President), F.D. Nicolas Pichay (Vice-President) , Dennis Marasigan (Secretary), Madeleine Nicolas (Treasurer), Clotilde Lucero (Auditor), and Rolando T. Inocencio (Board Member). Members include National Artist F. Sionil Jose, CCP Artistic Director Fernando C. Josef, UST Conservatory of Music Dean Raul Sunico, Edna Vida and Nonoy Froilan, Sid Gomez Hildawa, Jose Victor Torres, Joonee Gamboa, Rustica Carpio, Frank Rivera, Arthur Casanova, Rica Arevalo, and Reuben Laurente.

Prospective members are required to pay a one-time membership fee of P1,000.00. The interim officers of the foundation will be willing to accept fees during the meeting.
