ROME & JULIET opens Feb 14 @ Indie Sine Robinsons Galleria

A Very Sexy, Provocative and Daring Indie Movie on Valentine's Day

ROME & JULIET
opens February 14 at
Indie Sine Robinsons Galleria

With its aim to introduce groundbreaking movies, Cinema One Originals
proudly presents the screening of the critically acclaimed digital
film Rome & Juliet starting February 14 at the Indie Sine Theater of
Robinsons Galleria Movieworld at Ortigas Center.

Starring Mylene Dizon and Andrea del Rosario, and directed by Connie
S.A. Macatuno, the story follows the romantic journey and soul mating
of two straight women who plunge in forbidden love. The film
confronts issues concerning taboo affairs and sexual norms.

When a conservative pre-school teacher (Andrea del Rosario) hires a
liberated wedding planner (Mylene Dizon) for her nuptials, they
become close and develop a romance that becomes a huge scandal after
the groom and their families discover their affair. Together, they
face the trials of their unconventional relationship.

The plot which revolves around facing one's self and detouring from
the norms in the name of love, is in itself very stimulating, added
by the mixture of sexiness and realism in the movie. It masterfully
blends everyday dialogues with passionate and sexually-charged love
scenes (several frontal exposures from Dizon and del Rosario are to
be expected, even Rafael Rosell was daring) between couples and
unlikely pairing that will shock and fuel the viewers inner desires.

Viewers, jurors and critics perceived Rome & Juliet as the most
commercially viable digital film among the seven final entries in the
Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival last 2006.

The film also got positive reviews from columnists and critics for
its bravery and setting itself to be a medium exploring the hidden
and unpredictable emotions that define our nature as humans. Mario
Bautista noted in his Freehand column in People's Journal that
the "love scenes between Mylene and Andrea have much commercial
appeal and they're wonderfully integrated in the story."

Rome & Juliet was also selected to have an exhibition at the New York
International Independent Film and Video Festival. The selection
panel has given them excellent reviews for the movie's very good
image quality, solid story and believable performances.

Rome and Juliet also stars Miko Palanca, Lui Villaruz, Joshua
Deocareza, Glydel Mercado, CJ Mercado and featuring Ms. Tessie Tomas.

Experience this daring and thought-provoking film when it opens on
Valentine's Day February 14 in theater exclusively at Robinsons
Galleria Movieworld. Rome & Juliet is produced by Creative Programs
Inc. (CPI) thru the Cinema One Originals digital movie project.
