Asian Cultural Council-Silverlens Foundation Fellowship Grant 2008
Wawi Navarroza
Silverlens Foundation is pleased to present their first grantee for the Asian Cultural Council-Silverlens Foundation Fellowship Grant. Wawi Navarroza is a visual artist working with photography. She has had two award-winning solo exhibitions: Polysaccharide: The Dollhouse Drama (2005) and Saturnine: A Collection of Portraits, Creatures, Glass and Shadow (2007), which won last year's Ateneo Art Awards. Outside the Philippines, Navarroza has exhibited in Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, Australia, Russia and The Netherlands.
The ACC-SLF Grant will allow Navarroza to take the General Studies Program in Photography in the International Center for Photography in New York in 2009.
Since 2006, SLF has been accepting applications from photographers and artists working with photography for acquisition, completion, curatorial and fellowship grants.
