3rd Cine Haraya: Tondo's Short Movie Festival at SM Manila



Cine Haraya is the Short Movie Festival of Tondo organized by Dulaang Tobias Foundation. It promotes Filipino & Christian Values through Short Movie Media. Movies will be judged on the heart and vision of the story and in light of Dulaang Tobias’ Mission-Vision.

Haraya means Imagination, Belief, Illusion.

The festival's mission is to promote Filipino & Christian Values related to the lives and orientation of Tondo through Movie Media by encouraging new breed of moviemakers in Tondo.

The main goals and objectives of Cine Haraya 2014 are:
• To promote the culture of the Movie arts in Tondo especially in Schools
• To educate young artists interested in Movie Making

Direk TONY Y. REYES is the head of Cine Haraya 2014. It is a joint project of DULAANG TOBIAS FOUNDATION, MULTI-MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT ARTS FOUNDATION, AND STAR MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT INC. , in cooperation with Department of Education City School of Manila.

The festival is sponsored by SM CINEMA, OUTPOST VISUAL FRONTIER INC., and SOLID VIDEO CORPORATION.


Students will be encouraged to join by making a 15 minuter movie of any inspirational or educational interest. Amateur movie makers may join 20-30 minute movie.


All entrants to the festival attended the TALENTO GALING TONDO (TGT) MOVIE MAKING WORKSHOP (TGT 2013 and TGT 2014), facilitated by award winning master directors like Peque Gallaga, Lorie Reyes, Soxie Topacio, Ipe Pelino, Cloyd Robinson, Neal Buboy Tan, Mark Meily, Cinematographers Carlo Mendoza, Gary Gardoce, Scriptwriter Jojo Nones, designers Mitoy Sta. Ana, Edel Templonuevo, headed by Blockbuster Director Tony Y. Reyes.

The film is about bullying in school. Genre: drama/contemporary social issue.

Romance-horror. About endless love till the other life.
“Anino” by Dondie Bernardino of Don Bosco Technical School Makati
(“Anino” is competing for Amateur Category)
“Selfie” by Caroline Domino of St. Joseph School
Comedy. About human goodness in their heart and family.

TICKET PRICE
School Category – 100 pesos for high school and college students. 200 for professionals and regular viewers.
Amateur Category – 200 pesos for regular viewer and college students, 100 pesos for high school students.

Viewers may UPGRADE their tickets to avail E-Plus Card of SM Cinema. For only 50 pesos add-on, you will enjoy the benefits of the E-PLUS CARD such as using it nationwide in different SM malls, business establishment and free pop corn and raffle during the CINE HARAYA MOVIE SCREENING at SM Manila.
