2007 World Press Photo Exhibition
The 2007 World Press Photo Exhibition, an annual traveling exhibition showcasing outstanding news photos.
The show, 2007 World Press Photo Exhibition, presented by the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University (ACFJ) and the Royal Netherlands Embassy, is a selection of about 200 photographs comprising the winning photos in the annual World Press Photo competition.
The competition, the world's largest and most prestigious annual contest in press photography, has been run by the Amsterdam-based World Press Photo Foundation since 1955. This year's competition drew 4,460 photographers from 124 countries, submitting a total 78,083 images of last year's events. An international jury of 13 members screened the entries for 10 theme categories such as spot news, environment and sports, and gave prizes to 58 photographers of 23 nationalities. The 2007 World Press Photo Exhibition is Free Admission.
