KKK EXHIBIT EXTENDED!
Exhibit Extended, New Film Screenings - KKK, photographs by Kidlat, Kawayan & Kabunyan de Guia
silverlens gallery would like to announce the extension of their
current exhibit KKK: Photographs by Kidalat, Kawayan and Kabunyan de
Guia. The photography exhibit that opened with a bang last June 12
will now run until July 14. The show features the different
photographic stylings of the three brothers Kidlat, Kawayan and
Kabunyan. Most parents don’t allow their children to touch expensive
things such as cameras but for the de Guia boys, their Tatay Kidlat
Tahimik let them play with his camera equipment. These became the toys
and tools that let them discover their own images, which eventually
led them to find their individual ways of seeing the world.
Additional Public Programs will be organized for the exhibit. Renowned
filmmaker Kidlat Tahimik will be screening his film “Perfume
Nightmare” on June 30 from 3-5pm and “Who Invented the Yoyo? Who
Invented the Moon Buggy?” on July 14, also from 3-5pm. silverlens
gallery is located at 2320 Pasong Tamo Extension, Warehouse 2,
Yupangco Building. Gallery hours are 10 to 7pm, Mondays to Fridays and
1 to 6pm on Saturdays. For more information, call 8160044 or email
