We paint pictures in our heads. Mental notes of what
we want to happen, having a vision of our future
selves. Inspired by a paint-by-numbers painting I saw
in a flea market, I saw a relationship between the
paint-by-numbers painting and that of my own mental
picture of my moving to Brooklyn last February of this
year. My paintings have always been a reflection of
myself in current situations that I am in. The
paintings in this exhibition is a dialogue between the
ideals we set ourselves to do and the reality of
striving to paint that picture, by the numbers, as we
it.
