HAW-ANG world premiere tickets now selling

Touted to be one of the year's most controversial films for boldly addressing Filipino social adversities and setting a nun in a life-changing test of her faith and femininity, Haw-Ang will premiere on JULY 26, Thursday, 6pm, at the CCP Little Theater. This new indie film is distinguished for having been recently endorsed by the Department of Education (DepEd)—NCR.

Haw-Ang (international title: Before Harvest) is an advocacy film for children's right to quality education, empowerment of women, and welfare of our indigenous countrymen. Co-presented by UniversiTV and sponsored by Standard Insurance, Haw-Ang is the maiden film project of Sizzling Gambas Productions.

Produced by Australian entrepreneur Dane Lyons, the film stars Kalila Aguilos (Sa North Diversion Road, Ligalig, Inang Yaya), Neil Ryan Sese (Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros), Fonz Deza (Kubrador), and Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 ex-housemate Raquel Reyes. Bong Ramos, a long-time writer-line producer for ABS-CBN and Regal Films, co-wrote and directed this digital movie shot entirely in the majestic Hungduan rice terraces of Ifugao.

The world premiere is part of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival 2007. Haw-Ang opens on AUGUST 8 in selected SM cinemas nationwide.
