Filipino Canadian, TV branding maverick, Jeff Rustia is honored with the Philippine Presidential Pamana ng Pilipino Award by Her Excellency, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
Toronto, Canada - The Philippine Presidential Pamana ng Pilipino Award shall be conferred on Filipino Canadian Jeff Rustia, who, in exemplifying the talent, creativity, artistry and industry of the Filipino, have brought the country honor and recognition through excellence and distinction in his profession as an award winning TV Producer, Creative Director, TV Brand Strategist, Media Consultant and Enterpreneur.
The Presidential Awards is a global search to recognize exceptional individuals who have shown excellence and distinction in their profession for their outstanding contribution to Philippine progress and development. The Presidential Awards, which was established in December 1991 under Executive Order No. 498, is a biennial event. Through a nomination process that involves each diplomatic post of the Philippine Embassies and consulates worldwide, the Presidential Awards recognizes distinguished Filipino individuals and organizations overseas who, "by their exceptional achievements or humanitarian efforts, have given form and substance to Filipino excellence and the Filipino Spirit.
Jeff Rustia will be receiving the Pamana ng Pilipino Award, for being an exemplary visionary and role model for Filipinos in Canada and around the world, and being the first Filipino Canadian to own and lead a successful award winning, international, TV branding and Design agency, based in Toronto Canada, with notable clients ranging from Nickelodeon Global Networks to HBO.
“It is an incredible honour to be recognized out of the 400,000 Filipino-Canadians and the 8 million Filipinos living outside the Philippines,”. Rustia says. “I am very proud to be an ambassador for the Philippines and Canada.”
The award ceremony will be awarded by Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at Malacanang Palace on Dec 7th, 2006 at 7:30PM.
