PINK FILM FESTIVAL 2006 sets a taste of 2007 Grand Event
On it's fourth edition this year, the country's most uproarious film event, the PINK FESTIVAL (The International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival), kicks off this December 12 and 13 at 6PM, at Gateway Mall in Araneta Center, Cubao with emphasis on health and human rights of the gay community.
Last year, the 3rd Pink Film Festival played to full houses of students and teachers in Manila and Davao cities. The Festival with the theme IN THE PINK OF HEALTH presented short films, documentaries and full feature films from all over the world and helped raise awareness on community health and HIV/AIDS issues.
This year, Pink Film Festival 2006 with the theme PINK IN HARMONY, we dwell on the social movement in working for equality, as well as hopes for strengthening the LGBT communities in the Philippines and the whole world, reproductive health issues, HIV/AIDS, adolescent sexuality, sexually transmitted infections and other issues that intersect with or do not depart widely from LGBT and reproductive health concerns.

We brawl for the importance of life, the acceptance and the understanding of those people around us, impartiality and the peace of mind, promote safe sex, AIDS awareness, acceptance, equality and protection against the disease, homophobia and prejudice. We yearn to free our people from the old twisted mistaken belief they have about the us- the Pink Community ."
